Safety-led events for nonprofits

We organize events for nonprofit and civil society organizations working across countries. Participant safety, confidentiality and context-specific security protocols guide every stage, from planning and travel to the event itself.

Team events and training
Meetings for teams of 3–30 people, training sessions, workshops and team-building events. We can facilitate training ourselves or match your needs with a trainer from our network.
End-to-end organization
Venue selection, logistics, participant coordination and travel planning, confidentiality procedures and event-specific security protocols. We can manage the full process or support individual stages.
Festivals and conferences
Our team also brings experience organizing larger conferences and multi-day festivals. We help adapt the program, logistics and safety planning to the event’s scale and context.

Experience in high-risk environments

Black Sheep Alliance is a nonprofit organization built on its team’s prior experience in human rights and LGBTQ+ rights work in Russia, including the North Caucasus and Chechnya. Team members have created safer spaces and organized events in high-risk environments. This practical experience informs our approach to participant protection, confidentiality and careful preparation.

How we work

    1. Discuss your goals, location, format and participants’ needs.
    2. Assess risks and agree on appropriate safety and confidentiality measures.
    3. Develop the program, select trainers where needed, and plan logistics and safer arrival arrangements.
    4. Coordinate delivery and maintain agreed communication and response procedures.

Safety is a process

We plan around the risks and needs of each group, with particular attention to people who may face heightened threats. No event can be guaranteed risk-free: our commitment is careful assessment, preparation and practical measures to reduce risk.
